This guide is for waiters — if you manage a venue, see Manage Your Team instead.
This is Dropp’s new waiter experience. It’s available on some venues today and rolling out further — if your screen looks different from this guide, you’re on the current version, not this one.

Logging In

Your manager shares a link or QR code with you — open it, then log in with your Employee ID and password. You’ll land on your own order board, scoped to your tables only.

Your Screen

At the top: the Dropp logo, your name, a bell icon to mute or unmute order sounds, and a logout button. Below that, up to four tabs:
  • Board — the menu, for building a new order
  • QR — unclaimed orders waiting for a waiter (only shows up if you’re eligible and there’s at least one)
  • Ongoing — your open orders
  • Completed — your settled orders
Search and filter are available on every tab — search by table, order, or item name; filter by table (Ongoing/Completed/QR) or menu category (Board).

Taking an Order

On Board, tap Add to bag on any item — tap it again to add more, or use the +/– stepper. Once you have at least one item, a green bar appears at the bottom showing your total. Tap it to review your order. In the order sheet:
  • Table (required) — pick from your own assigned tables. If you only have one table, it’s picked for you.
  • Notes (optional) — for the kitchen (allergies, no pepper, serving order, etc.)
  • Customer information (optional) — name, email, phone
Tap Place order. It’s added to your Ongoing list right away — you’ll see it marked “Sending…” for a moment while it saves. If it fails to send, tap the card to retry — nothing you entered is lost.

Adding to an Order

If an order hasn’t been paid yet, its card shows an Add order button. Tap it, add more items on the Board (you’ll see a banner reminding you which table you’re adding to), then tap Add to [table] to send it. If the order was closed out by your manager in the meantime, you’ll be told and asked to start a new order instead.

Unclaimed Orders

The QR tab shows orders nobody has taken yet — usually customers who ordered by scanning a table’s QR code, sometimes other unclaimed orders. It only appears if you’re allowed to take these and there’s at least one waiting. Tap Accept on an order to take it — this doesn’t take payment, it just makes it yours. It moves straight to your Ongoing list. If someone else already took it, or it’s no longer available, you’ll be told.

Viewing a Bill

Tap View bill on any order to see the full itemized bill: items, subtotal, tax (if your venue charges it), and the total. If part of the bill is already settled, you’ll see the amount still owed instead of a status label — that’s the number to tell the customer. Tap Download to save it as an image or PDF, or Share to send it straight from your phone.
You can’t mark an order as paid or completed from here — that’s done by your manager.
