# Set Up Menu Modifiers

> Create add-ons customers can choose when ordering a menu item, tied to your inventory stock.

A modifier is an add-on tied to one of your inventory items — extra cheese, a size upgrade, an added topping. Set it up once, then attach it to any menu item from that item's edit form.

## Adding a Modifier

From the Menu page, tap **Modifiers**, then enter:

* **Item** (required) — pick from your inventory items. This determines the modifier's unit (e.g. grams, pieces).
* **Price** (required) — what the customer pays extra for this modifier
* **Max quantity** (required) — the most of this modifier a customer can add to one order
* **Required** (optional) — check this if a customer must choose this modifier when ordering the item it's attached to

Tap **Save**.

## Editing or Removing a Modifier

Open an existing modifier and change any field, then tap **Update**. If you haven't changed anything, the same button reads **Remove** — tap it to delete the modifier.
