# Set Up Your Dine-In Menu

> Add menu items, organize them with categories and ingredient tags, and publish your menu.

Your menu is what customers and your team see when they order. Add your items, organize them, then publish when you're ready.

## Adding a Menu Item

Tap **Add a new menu**. For each item, enter:

* **Photo** (required) — at least one image of the dish. You can't save an item without one.
* **Food name** (required)
* **Category** (required) — pick from your saved categories (see below)
* **Price** (required) — Dropp shows what you'll earn and what the customer pays after its transaction fee, updated as you type
* **Discount** (optional) — 5%, 10%, 15%, or 20% off
* **Portion size** (required) — e.g. "plate", "10 liter bowl"
* **Minimum quantity per order** (required)
* **Main ingredients** (required) — pick from your saved ingredient tags, or type your own
* **Sub recipe** (optional) — link one of your saved recipes from Inventory. There's a shortcut to add a new one without leaving this form.
* **Modifiers** (optional) — link add-ons customers can choose for this item (see the [Modifiers page](/dinein/modifiers))
* **Description** (optional)
* **Other notes** (optional)

Tap **Save** to add the item. To change an item later, tap **Edit** on its card. To create a similar item without starting from scratch, use **Copy**.

## Categories

Categories group your items (e.g. Starters, Mains, Drinks) so customers can browse your menu easily. Tap **Categories** to add or remove one.

## Ingredients

Tap **Ingredients** to manage the list of ingredient tags you can pick from when adding a menu item — this is what populates the Main Ingredients suggestions.

## Publishing Your Menu

Your menu isn't visible to customers until you publish it. Tap **Publish Menu**.

Before you can publish, your profile needs a photo, phone number, address, and bio filled in — if any is missing, Dropp tells you to finish your profile first.

Once published, tap **Preview Menu** to see exactly what customers will see. Tap **Unpublish Menu** any time to take your menu offline again.
